    Hi everyone,

New Ferrari FF owner here and I could use some advice. I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow evening. I am so excited as this will be my first Ferrari. I have been doing a lot of research on the model and potential problems and for the most part the stories I have heard are all largely positive. I am however concerned about the potential PTU and speed senor failure. Its tough to tell from the posts how often these actually occur.

I know there is no crystal ball but am I better off purchasing the extended warranty for a year or self insuring with the FF? I plan to use this vehicle regularly. If I had to guess I will be putting about 8k mi per year on it.

The car is a 2015 with 19kmi. It just came off of the 5 year extended warranty. The annual service has been performed by Ferrari. Attached are the most recent records. Anything stand out as potential issues that I should be aware of?

    Thanks in advance!

Take a look at the many relevant warranty and/or failure threads in the FF section - my sense is I'd be happier with an official warranty on one of these

    Enjoy

Kind of figured that was the case. Thanks for the response. If the car is still covered under the 7yr maintenance plan is it automatically approved for the extended warranty or will I need to bring it to a dealer in order to get certified? The 5yr warranty ended in May of this year.

That’s treaky but technically it Is still approved for 2 years instead of 1 at the time.
