I have never owned a Ferrari but in the processes of trying to acquire an f12. I'm not to worried about resale as I have always kept and driven all of my other cars. I'm torn between two cars... One is rosso maranello(2015), the other is Grigio titanium(2016). The titanium has less options and a plain interior Nero wo contrast stitching. The maranello is better optioned and has a 13k higher starting msrp. Both cars have similar miles as well. I love both colors. I was hoping to get some advice from members who have had the opportunity to own previous v12....
    1. What color looks best to show and reflect the lines in morning and early evening lighting
    2. What's a better value w regard to pricing and current warranty, both cars are within 5k of each other, is it better to get the car w 1 yr more warranty (lower msrp)or the higher optioned car w the assumption that I will sell in 10 plus yrs to get a better car. I also realize I can purchase the extended warranty which I would do if the better deal is to get the older car.
    3. If my life changes drastically and I have to sell then whic color would be easier to unload

    First of all, congratulations !
The first Ferrari is an exciting landmark, a beginning of a life long affair.

I'm quiet new here and have been in a very similar situation as you and have been lucky to have the feedback of knowledgable and wise members here, who offered advice and guieded me through.

My advice is follow your heart and choose the car you really like, no one needs a V12 NA 6.3L super GT, we buy these cars because they make us feel something !

Search for that feeling within your self and buy the car that lets you feel it stronger.

    Good luck to you!

Maranello is a high cost option and very popular for F12s but Titanio is very elegant in an evening light especially if you have polished it to within an inch of its life.
Most would agree the later the car the better but spec is important.
Walk up to each, one at a time, and see which one makes your pulse quicken more. Turn, walk away and see which one you look back at soonest. Deal done......

Great advice, that would be the maranello and it's the practical side of me that giving me this conundrum. I think the maranello is stunning , but I keep thinking about the Grigio ... Easier the keep clean( I love to do my own detailing )

Grigio Titanio answers questions 1&3 well, imho.

I had the chance to see a F12 in Rosso Maranello recently and it was stunning. The color alone would make me chose that car and I'm not really a fan of red Ferraris. Go for it!!

Couple observations. You called one car stunning and the other easier to keep clean. Model year and warrantee don't matter if you are planning to keep and enjoy the car. Just extend the warrantee when its time as you indicated. Also, there's nothing really practical about the purchase of an F12 so agree to go with your heart as was previously advised. Pick the one that is as close to how you would have ordered it and in the best condition. Good luck.

Rosso Maranello is a great colour for the F12. In a warm morning or evening glow it is super deep and lush, and it shows the lines as much as Titanio imo. I'd say upkeep is about the same as well. The problem for me when it comes to grey is that it looks very boring and "dirty" if not newly polished and washed. It's a nice colour when clean, but pretty "meh" when dusty or dirty. To me something like Rosso Maranello or another deep metallic red is a lot more rewarding to keep nice and shiny, not to mention special.
Also Rosso Maranello is not a bad choice when it comes to resale, it's quite popular. And don't forget that if you really like it, there's a chance other will as well. Don't pick the "practical car", pick the car you really like.

I appreciate the replies. Sometimes it helps to hear what one already knows. I'm waiting to hear back on a couple of issues then I'll make an offer. With any luck I could have it by the end of the month.

I pretty much agree, besides who ever heard of a "practical Ferrari". That said some colors such as black, while they look great when just detailed don't a few hours later. I like to look at others just detailed black cars but would never own own one.

I love a black car and as mentioned once it gets dirty not so nice. Being as anal as I am I could never have another black car.
