    Hello guys,

After letting sit my 96 355 Berlinetta for about a month,I tried to start it today to go for a spin but battery's dead.
Stupidly,I forgot to disable the battery using the knob in luggage compartment.
I'm thinking of jump starting it with my portable booster unit.
I did it a couple times on my Audi TT and also on a friend's 550 Maranello and it worked great
I hear pros and cons about jump starting 355's through the engine bay.
This obviously would be the most convenient way do start the car.
Would appreciate very much your advice before I proceed.
    Cheers from Paris,

    olivier

You will get better advice from people smarter than me, but if it was my car, with all I have read about alternators going bad (and having had to replace mine two weeks ago) I would NOT jump start it. Charge the battery first. Just switch off the battery, and attach a charger. Charge overnight and start it tomorrow. It will save $$$$

Im with Tom and Paul, charging the battery would be the best option. :):)

But in saying that, I have jump started MANY cars in my lifetime and have never had an issue down the track with the alternator playing up. I have jump started my 348 numerous times without any issues. :):)

But your car, your choice. I would just jump start it. ;);)
