I received the compression results on the 97 355 TB that I am looking to purchase. The results are as follows with the leakdown on all being at 2% but one at 3%:

    Cyl:

    1- 191
    2- 189
    3- 194
    4- 185
    5- 192
    6- 195
    7- 194
    8- 189

Any opinions on the above results would be appreciated.
    Thanks

From my limited experience those look to be pretty good numbers.

I think it is good :)! I wonder if they had the throttle wide open during the 'compression' test. The numbers can vary buy as much as 50% more, from closed throttle to open throttle.

One exhaust bypass valve is not working. I am having the F mechanics fix the issue (the seller is), before I swoop down on it. They do not know yet if there is a vaccum leak or if the valve itself is the issue.

OK, but sounds much better than that yellow one with all the paint work and NO records of the major..

Absolutely! The only thing I have to deal with would be fixing/replacing some parts that are starting to get sticky.
