Any advice on buying either a F355 or 360 for use once or twice a week and for track and club days would be helpful. Also whether manual or F1.
    Thanks

I think there are Ferrari racing events with the 360.

The F1 vs gear shifter is a personal thing.... try 'em if you can. I like the F1.......

f355 will be cheaper and less depreciation if you plan on tracking it.

Good luck & fill out your profile

All you can do is look around, drive them both, get a feel of prices and educate yourself. Obviously, a 360 is a better car, but it's also a lot more money.

When you've bought it, make sure you go to www.fcavic.com.au and join the Ferrari Club!

Sure, Gil Matthews neighbor. It's the highest spec car in Australia and probably in the best condition.

AIRCON- Don't bother with the flame...........

Pop across the road and ask him Gil. He mentioned it had something to do with a boat and his wife......

And it is still a lovely car getting regular exercise. Any genuinely interested buyer would be mad to miss the opportunity of a look at least.

It's also got new front discs and pads on it (2 weeks ago), and it's got a nicely done proper handbrake mechanism inside specially made drums on the rear Challenge brakes.

I had to put the handbrake on it when I sold it. John Allan put it on for the roadworthy.
I haven't seen a better 355 Challenge to this day, and it remains one of the best sounding modern Ferraris around.
    Lovely car!

The disc drum was made by Ron Harrop, so it wouldn't have been cheap, that's for sure!!

I also noticed it has modified/upgraded (?) non switchabe Teves ABS, unlike Aircon's car which has switchable teves ABS, and also unlike road cars of 1997/8 which have the Bosch system.....

As for noise... yeah, they're great. Only the 360C speciale of Tom warwick comes close... oh yeah, and flame spitting F40LM,s sound ok too.....

if i had the money, and a licence, i wouldnt think twice about buying that 355 challenge. i have seen and heard one up close, and the only other car i would choose over the challenge would have to be the almighty f50!
