Here is the thread. There are pics too. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8009&page=2&pp=20 DC
It IS the same car. If it is at Sheehans then John must have shipped it out soon we looked at it. I'm not exactly sure what makes this car a POS except for it's lack of reliability. The workmanship on the car was rather decent, nice bodywork, though the interior didn't really look purpose built for the track..............it sounded good too. DJ
Nice to show your true attitude when you're out on the racetrack. I was there that day. I have a picture of your car after that "incident" because I was going to send it to the previous owner so he could laugh at it. You were in the wrong spot when you went into turn 1 and decided you couldn't slow yourself and rammed into the Corvette. But it's nice how you "recollect" the incident. Didn't you also spin off into the kitty litter at Watkins Glen too last year...??? Those guys at Classic must love repairing your car everytime.....
Very interesting car, but I do not like the roof scoops. I drove a 288 conversion track car in Savahnna GA a few weeks ago, red, roll bar, similar or more HP and at a good price. Awsome ride. It is still for sale, the same owner has a 333P that is also an incredible v12 powered reproduction. The car I have is a 308/288 conversion. I drove over 16K miles on weekends over the past year and a half. I have enjoyed this car, however, like a beautiful woman, I am ready for another. I have spent 4 months tracking down a 348 challege, yellow, large wing, full interior, 315 rear wheels, 355 suspension, ect. for about 60K. That is the direction I am going in, or can you buy a 355 for a similar price? Back to the post, buy the 288 in Savahanna for 40-50K.
Just to set the record straight on my car , its been welcomed everywhere except Cavallino. Their loss as I see it
No, No, No. I wouldn't touch this car with a 10ft stick. When something goes wrong with the 360, there are Ferrari people with the knowledge to fix it. When something goes wrong with this beast you have to find someone who is REALLY sharp to trouble shoot it., and when they finally figure out what went wrong after hrs. and hrs. or work the bill will be worse than the 360. Think about it, who ever is trouble shooting this thing will have to go through a lot of trouble just trying to figure out what exactly was done to it first. The more modifications the more headaches.
I would track a real 288GTO (and work on it to get it really 'there' for a few seasons) but not this thing. Cavallino is RETARTED. Their loss is an understatement. That's a slap in the face to the whole Ferrari brand as far as I am concerned. Would they let a 360GT run? William's car is more Ferrari than that.
Steve, I dont think you'll have any trouble entering FCA track events, probably no FCA concours & definately no Cavallino, Maybe the FOC will allow it to enter in concours
