Advice planning a trip to Maranello

Hi,
So my family and I are planning a short trip to Rome and I wanted to take a day trip to Maranello with my son. First off, is it even possible to go from Rome to Bologna and back in a day? and would it be a hassle to take a train if we don't speak Italian? I was thinking that we could go see Pagani Factory, the Lamborghini Factory and the Ferrari Factory. I'm not sure if I'd be able to get an actual tour of the Ferrari Factory since I recently sold my Ferrari; is it still possible or should I just settle for the shuttle bus tour? If you guys have any other tips or advice for Maranello that would be great.
