Advice please on coming to Chicago for PPI

    It looks like I may be coming to Chicago to evaluate a car.

    I'm thinking of flying in (from Philly), having the PPI done, and hopefully make a deal and join the club.

    Can anyone reccomend a place to have a PPI done near Westmont?

    Also, any tips or advice on the PPI would be greatly appreciated.

    Mojosan,

    There are a few places in the general area that can provide a quite complete ppi. If you were willing to provide more info on the car in question - I'd bet you could obtain more substantial advice. I myself provided a rather detailed (say 3 or 4 pages of info) description of a local 328 for an F-Chat member a while back - it was a very nice car, but not what he was looking for & I think I saved him a trip/ppi money. Oh - and I'm not a Ferrari "expert" - certainly don't even own one... but I am a car guy & I think you'll find plenty of those in the Chicago area willing to help.

    You can try Continental Ferrari/Maserati in Hinsdale. they're just a few miles down the road. Westmont sounds like Luxury Motors. If so, beware.

    I agree with the previous post that a little more info on the car you’re looking at may save you a trip altogether. Having said that, I highly recommend Euroquipe in St. Charles for a through PPI. They’re about 30 minutes west of Westmont. If interested you can PM or email me for their contact info.

    There are enough of us Ferrari nuts out here that one of us could go take a look if you want. Many of us know what to "look" for prior to the PPI.
