I *really* enjoy Forza...much more my style. I've only read one issue of Cavallino, and while I concede that it is a high-quality publication, it just didn't "do it" for me. I can't quite put a finger on why, but I found myself just turning pages rather than delving into the articles like I do with Forza.

Cavallino for good researched info on, lets say, pre-1975 cars. That is were the focus of Cavallino is. Buy Forza if you are more into the modern Ferraris, combined with some articles on classics.

Best of both worlds is to buy both. I used to buy them both but I quit Forza because a) it often contains errors, b) every issue contains about 40 pages of ads and I don´t like that.

I'd also recommend Octane. While not a Ferrari-only mag, it often has good articles about the cars. This month has a 70s supercar comparison (308, Urraco, Pantera, Bora, Esprit) and an article on the Breadvan

    Totally 2nd that.

Octane is my favourite mag. It always has at least one great Ferrari story you don't see anywhere else (Breadvan being point in case).

Forza is ok. I used to love it a lot more when they did Buyers guides and Winston Goodfellow was a regular. Nowadays it got a bit mainstream and its "news" have long been pondered here on FChat (e.g. FXX).

F1 Magazine is good. However I have a subscription to RACER just because it covers all sorts of racing.

I subscribe to Forza; being of the "Drive only 12 cylinders" mentality I particularly appreciate their consistent and plentiful inclusion of Vintage-related articles. The ads don't bother me. All in all, a well-balanced mag with something for everyone.

Cavallino is a good excuse for a regular drive to Barnes and Noble. Definitely a fine Vintage-specific pub.

A picked Octane up at the bookstore the other day for the first time, definitely an excellent magazine.

Thanks for all your input people.

I thought that Forza was a good mag, but just as one poster says, it's drowning with adds.
And I don't care about nice adds, but there's all the same, all those anti-bug covers etc. We don't drive like that here.

To be honest, I've never seen an issue of Cavalino.
I'm gonna look for that and have a try.

    Octane won't be available here.

You know what I really hate ?
When people test a car and take all the data from the brochure.
    Only a 0-60 and a topspeed figure.
To lazy to test or no money to do so.

    Thanks again.

Yup, that's incredibly pathetic and ticks me off every time I see it. You had the friggin car in your hands, now go out and drive it!

Henkie, try AutoNet in Rotterdam. They sell many different mags (among them Cavallino and Forza) and I am quite sure Octane could also be obtained though them. Autoland in Hilversum may also have them. Good luck.
