My new pump F1 will be here tomorrow, but I only need the motor.
I was going to just unbolt the motor from the new unit and bolt it up to the old pump.
But if I swap the complete unit out will it need the SD2 to make it work?
What about bleeding? Will it need to be bled?
    Thanks

Dude I would just switch the motor... if you bleed it IIRC you need an SD to bleed the system..

Be careful when unbolting the motor from the pump head. i stripped one of the bolts. end of the swap for me. left the old one in.

Some thing I would avoid like a root canal without anesthetic.

The SD2 is a days trip there and back alone.

I switched out just the motor and followed Juri's excellent video. Everything went smooth.

Great video. Thank actually looks as easy, maybe easier, than replacing a battery.

My 360 F1 2004 just stall today in the middle of traffic !!
The f1 pump dashboard light was on,crazy beeping and engine light was also on.
The engine was dying eveytime i was hitting the ignition key.
I dont know if its the pump or the relay or something else. After a couple of hours it came back to normal and all lights were off.
I read that the relay goes bad pretty soon. I dont get gear slipping and i dont know how long the clutch still has left.
Im scared to take it to Ferrari dealership and get those kind of thousands of Euros clutch service, when in reality i only needs x or y parts changed...
You see what i mean ?

Any ideas so i can isolate the problem and have them fix only what it really needs to be fixed ?
    Thanks
    Joao
