    A friend took me around in his plane today. It was great! I think I am going to try to do aerial tours of most major cities. Cruising by San Francisco International Airport and listening to their Air Traffic Control frequency was fantastic. Tons of fun!

    Have to agree....man..how long is your Bday lasting!! I have flown from Reid Hill View up to Benica, then down the delta, around the rock, gate, and then down the coast to Santa Cruz, then up to San Louis Res. then back to RHV. Greatest flight ever............SF is so damn cool from a plane..its being on the street that sucks!!jk...:D

    If you want to do this in major cities, here is the ulitimate angle to save you big bucks: Go to a flight training school at any airport. Pop in and tell them you want a lesson. There are plenty of young pilots that needs the hours. If you tell them you want a sight seeing trip, they would be bending the rules of a commercial flight. Just 'take a lesson' in a 150 or a 172 and tip the pilot when you are done.

    Awesome pictures! Looks like you had a great time. For a while there, I thought the pilot was Lox, and suddenly thought yeah, ok, that trip probably took an hour tops! :D

    Peters,
    What a great idea! I just booked flying lessons in LA and San Diego for this week. Portland and Seattle are in the next two weeks. I am sure I will get to Lake Tahoe/Reno, Las Vegas and Phoenix/Tuscon soon too.

    Time to start checking into flight schools around some cities in Europe as well. I might even learn to fly a plane out of all this!
