Has anyone tried the inflated the beds? Are they comfortable for just one night or could someone use them as a permanent bed?

Hellish. The least bit of movement causes a trampoline effect. Worse is camping - transfers cool temps of soil right to your bones - brrrr. Given that a cat walking across airbed jolts one awake, might make a good camp alarm if a sneaky bear without B.O. (Bear Odor) visits a tent, though.

If you want one for the occasional over-nighters/camping trips, save yourself about $150 and buy a Coleman inflatable mattress. Pretty much the same thing for much less. Just don't let your dog walk on it (ahem).
