i'm sure most of us are having a hard time deciphering what it is you're trying to say! we pay attention because we can tell you're not just some gangsta-talking riceburner or a 14 year old who's discovered teh intarweb, but text doesn't provide us with the tone depth and sincerity of face-to-face chatter, so what you are typing needs to be clearer.

A somewhat surprising question. but I guess reasonable for a newcomer. Before it became the Ferrari Club of Australia it was known (early 70s) as the Australian Ferrari Register, AFR, get it?

 

Rob that certainly brought forth some idiotic responses (to be expected I guess). The guys name was Russell Thorpe, who worked for Roadmobiles and built the car up for a Boxer owner whose name escapes me.
We're probably better off discussing these sorts of things privately with the likes of Alexander, Delaney and Maher from whom you'd get an intelligent answer.

 

With respect Robert, you have been questioned on your grammer etc many times before this. If you had just said up front, look I'm dyslexic, you would have been treated entirely differently. Instead you have chosen to be an arrogant arse about it all. For someone so successful you have turned making friends into an art......

Rob comments like that really won't endear you to anyone, and surprise me since you were one of the ones calling for a "clean up" of the forum. The problem is that people who are criticised always feel they need to go one better and the thing then degenerates into a s..t fight. Let's stop the personal attacks NOW. actually Bob, Stephens has been doing a pretty good job of cleaning up the forum lately by deleting senseless threads (but where do you stop ??!!)

I note you were/are an F5000 racer so you must have been racing the same time as John Millard, was he as slow as he makes out ?

This place should be a forum for members to catch up before events but it is also a sort of bar-room hangout so naturally a lot of drivel will come out and easy enough to avoid by hitting the BACk button, cheers John

The committee is VERY open to member involvement in club activities. Folks like Peter Strauss have got involved and brought about very successful events catering for the classic Ferraris. The carby car rally and drive days have been a very positive step forward in catering to the "old Ferrari School".

 

yeah bob, jump on in and take over from that useless national vice president, he only talks to people with cars newer than his hong kong import 355 spider. so please get involved and rid the vermin from a good club
