Aftermarket Alarm System on 360

Has anyone successfully been able to install an aftermarket alarm system on the 360? I would like to install the Viper 350 unit with perimeter detection and glass break sensors (not to mention much better fobs for distance), but everything I've read says this is nearly impossible due to the factory immobilizer. I would even be willing to forego the immobilizer system to have the aftermarket alarm if I had to also. Please let me know if anyone has had luck with this (and if so, what needs to be done) or if I should leave well enough alone and just be happy with the factory setup - thanks!

 

The OEM system automatically disables the starter after a period of time so I'm not sure how you would disable it to integrate an aftermarket one.

Yes. There is a 360 running around here that has one installed. I don't know the details.
