Anyone here put aftermarket part such as exhaust, window tint, or wheels on an expensive leased vehicle? What's the penalty for this?

I have never leased a vehicle, expensive or not.
But I would assume that if you were to put after-market parts on one,
you could always remove the parts before your lease expired,
and then sell the parts on ebay.

I have leased lots and lots of vehicles.

I for one do nothing to them when I lease them. Taking the used parts off and selling them on EBay will probably get back none of your money. But hey, cars aren't here to make you money.

I would find the parts you want to put on the car. Tell the dealer what you want. Have him buy and install the parts and then lease the car as a whole from him. Then you don't have to fool with it.

I've done this on cars I've leased.

Worked in the car business... the thing I can tell you is that aftermarket parts do nothing to help or hurt your residual value. It is just extra cost to you that someone else gets to enjoy when they buy your car off the lease.

However, if you must have the extras have them installed and lease the whole thing as Jason1st has.
