Would you turbo your F430 if its under 15k as a DIY job?

Hi all, Just laying down some ground work for my Turbo Flex Fuel F430 project.
As you all know the F430 has 2 separate ECUs one for each bank.
does anyone have the wiring schematics for the ECUs?
Anyone know the specs of the stock injectors and fuel pump?
Have experience with wiring up a standalone or piggyback ECU on the F430 that you'd like to share?

Havent found and plug N play solutions so if you have any... would be nice if you could share too.

    Thanks in advance

Why not just have the ecu flashed instead of going crazy with all the wires?

How serious are you going on this turbo build? Are you doing any internal work or just putting a turbo on?

It'll be low boost 3-7psi and E85 is a must.
so flashing the ECU is not an option...also dont like running a boosted car with MAF.
no internals just gonna throw on a single turbo setup with W2A intercooler.

Not even a thicker head gasket to get lower compression?
I would have done at least the head gasket if I was to strap a stress fan on my car.
Quite easy job and also better reliability.

Compression is not a problem since I'll most likely stay under 7psi which puts the compression ratio around 16.7:1 when boosted.
Its perfectly fine when paired with e85 and most of it will come down to how well its tuned.
    Most manufacturers with 15:1 - 16:1 CR
I'll do a build thread on this once I start but most likely start mid year and wrap things up before 2019

Thanks for voting the polls.......now I'm even more dead set on the project seeing NO as the majority.

I've built and owned many turbo cars but prefer the attitude of a naturally aspirated engine in a Ferrari. So my vote of no is personal preference, not trying to crush your hopes and dreams.

I think AEM infinity, Pro-efi, Halltech or Motec would all handle what you need. If you aren't going to tune it yourself find out what pro's in your area are comfortable and experienced with.

If you are going to tune it yourself, see what features are important to you and download software for each system to look it over.

Highly doubt you will find anything plug and play.

The thing to remember is since the heads ( and block) are aluminum and probably a superior casting you can probably get away with a bit higher compression ( usually 1 point since aluminum wicks heat away better then cast iron). But I agree with mickster I'd sure feel more comfortable lowering the compression a bit. And if it were me I'd want to at least eyeball the internals before I added more pressure to the engine even if it's a Ferrari engine, even if it's only 6-7 psi.

While I prefer naturally aspirated engines I have great respect for those that modify and tweak their cars. One thing is for sure it will be quite unique.

I voted no, because I have been taking cars apart and putting them back together for over 40 years, and it is never what you think it is going to. I have a car in one of mu garages with over 130K in modifications in it. It is worthless to anyone but me. I applaud your desire, but in my experience everything that you alter effects more than what you think, and 15K can turn into 50K pretty fast. Good luck.
