What aftermarket seats are you guys running in the 360/430? Please post picture and disscribe mounting hardware. Original carbon seats are hard to get, so I would like to see other options.

I believe the seats are the Sparco R700 BUT the Ferrari ones come with the carbon inserts and back.

I do think someone made the inserts but can't for the life of me remember where I saw them.

How much less weight are the 360 manual seats vs the power Daytona’s?

I’ve gone down this road over the last few months, mostly because the stock seats are so uncomfortable for me.

The one unique thing I’ve found in my research (would be very happy to be proven wrong) is the stock seats (mine are electric) sit very low already since there is no hard bottom.

In the photos I’ve seen of the factory carbon seats, the very bottom sits right at the bottom of the rails. The carbon shaping at the bottom allows the rails to recess so the seats still fit very low.

Long story short, I would love to get some Sparco’s like seen above but would hate to go through the work to have them sit higher than stock.

Can you give us your thoughts on how low yours sit @LorenzoR , and what model your seats are?

Lorenzo, do you know which model those are? They look great. Did you have them reupholstered and embroidered? Or did they come like that?

Sorry for the delay to answer guys i been trying to enjoy my beautifull car in this great florida weather. To answer @L1MTD and Jaymac, these seats are about 20 years old. Sparco made a few versions of them. Milano, Torino and Monza. I think mine are the Torino but i honestly dont remember. There all almost the same but with different options like size, Tilt ETC...I had them upholstered which isnt cheap. Just for the leather its 4 to 600 plus the labor. I dont regret it one bit. I love the look

    My setup

I put down plates and sliders on those so they dont go down to the floor, probably an inch higher than OEM

Personally I think I like it better

It's cool sitting low, but in my opinion, you're basically just staring at the dashboard

Sitting a little higher, you can actually see the fender , see the road better and is a better driving position as far as I'm concerned

My eyeline is closer to the top of the windshield than the middle

    This is HIGHLY subjective.

Im 6’2” and can say I was very surprised how high the stock seats sit. I’m nowhere near staring at the dashboard.

Not all people are built the same my friend.

    Of course, agree

That's why I started with 'personally', ie, better for me

Anyway, I like to see out over the car in front to the road, in the OEM seats, I wasn't looking down the front of the car, more just out the windshield

In my opinion I sit lower. There are variables with this. It all depends on how you mount the seat which I mounted it as close to the floor as I could possibly get and it also has to do with how good the padding is in the seat. And also how the seat is built so in my opinion I sit an inch or two lower than I did with OEM seats

I'm 5'10. I feel like the field of vision in the car is very narrow horizontally. Maybe because they kept the profile low. So, I agree with John that if I sat lower I would be staring at the dash and have even worse rear view vision (I currently see mostly the top of the trunk). However, I still feel the top of the windshield frame is very low so when I lower the visor it blocks out a lot of the view. If I was higher, I'd be staring at the top of the frame. I think the ideal height for this car is somewhere around 5'8" or whatever the height was of the little Italian guy that came up with the original proportions.

I'm 6ft 2 and have the electric Daytona's. I sit to high and sort of got used to slouching in the seat to get lower, with the seat back to the fire wall. I like to sit in a car rather than on top of it.

Although I'm used to it now, there is not a time that I have got in it, and thought, I would like to sit lower, but an inch is not going to make that much of a difference, (well not in seat height away) I also don't want to make the car look aftermarket or have the seat headrests looking nearly as high as the roll over hoops either, I've been looking at options, even 458 seats and so on, but as of yet nothing has come up to reduce the seat height enough thats been worth it!

So I am interested in this thread.

I'm in the same place, and I find the stock seats upper bolster is like 2 fists pushing into my shoulder blades. I mounted some aftermarket hard back seats recently after going through many versions of how to mount them, but found that non-factory hardbacks sit too high for me still, since the butt portion isn't recessed below the rails like the factory carbon seats are. (stock seats sat lower, even with the aftermarket hardbacks sitting essentially on the sliders)

So it seems something like the Sparco's above from @LorenzoR might work since the bottom has some flex allowing it to go lower and mitigate the bolster issue i have. I want a stockish look as well, so likely have them recovered in factory looking leather as well.

Thank you for your help so far on this. One last question would be how did you mount the seats and seat belts/receivers?

    Any photos you could share?

I'm very happy with mine. They are from Bimarco and it was a cost effective option till i pull the trigger on some custom recaro's.

Would 812 carbon seats fit in a f430?
