I ordered agency power headers per the advice of forum members. The product might be fine but the company is not, and they have permanently lost my business.

I ordered the headers a couple of weeks ago. I was contacted by the company to tell me delivery will take a few weeks but asked if I'm OK with that. They said they confirmed with the machine shop, and all was good. I received several confirmations. At this point I was very pleased and OK with slow ship times.

Several weeks later I hear back again... Good news, the order is shipped via FedEx... I'm glad they are coming! I get three more confirmations. Under promise and over deliver!

A week later I hear back again. Supposedly that shipped order? Yeah, it didn't happen. Instead they are "discontinued". They then tell me they are holding my money so I can get something different. The headers are still on their website, and supposedly they are having trouble getting it removed from the website.

So I tell them they need to refund money.

I understand issues happen. But if they really confirmed with the machine shop when I ordered it... Then it wouldn't have been discontinued... And they shouldn't have promised it in 4-6 weeks if it wasn't really confirmed...then they shouldn't have told me it was shipped if it really wasn't... And then they shouldn't have held my money expecting me to buy something else... And they should have gotten it off their website is it really is discontinued...

Maybe it's just a whole bunch of bad luck, but it didn't seem even remotely appropriately handled, and I was significantly mislead if not explicitly lied to.

Just thought I should share that experience.

Now back to selecting new headers...

Very, very sorry to hear of these issues experienced with Agency Power.

We (Vivid Racing) own the Agency Power brand. They're operated out of the same facility here in Arizona in a separate portion of the building, separate employees, etc. It looks like you have a 360. The 360 headers are made in their fabrication department which is also here on site in another portion of the building. It does typically take 4-6 weeks to produce them, but I do apologize that they were not able to make that happen on this order. On a positive note, we do have a batch of 360 headers incoming from the same manufacturer that we source our 430 headers from. The 430 headers have been extremely popular, and we almost always have them in stock.

That said, zero excuses on this one. I'd like to step in and get this rectified for you.

Can you email or PM me with your name and I'll jump in and get this resolved? Also, can you let me know who you've been working with at Agency Power? Apologies again for the issues encountered.

    -James

Who would have thought that a complaint on this forum could get such an immediate great response?

I'd like to update everyone on what happened.

First of all, I want to disclose that I attempted to edit the first post to change my recommendation for when people search in the future. However, the edit button is unfortunately no longer available. If a mod happens to see this and wants to at least edit the subject, especially given Vivid is a sponsor, I would be supportive of it. I hope anyone who sees it also sees this response.

Here is the initial post for disclosure purposes:

    Avoid agency power!

Secondly, I want to update everyone:

James, from Vivid Racing responded to my initial complaint. I was (and I believe fully fairly) frustrated from my experience with the Agency Power.

James however communicated very clearly, was very helpful, and sincerely apologized. He admitted it wasn't right, apologized, and then offered a solution.

He informed me that the person I was working with was new to the role, and that despite miscommunicating, it wasn't intended. There was a known production issue, but the person working with me didn't fully know what the issue was.

While the solution wasn't "Perfect", (there wasn't a "perfect" solution). I honestly believe James did more than was reasonably expected to make it right, and I could not be more satisfied with the service.

As I always tell my wife at restaurants: I don't get upset when someone does wrong as long as they try to make it right.

Headers aren't Steaks, but James did all in his power to try to make it right.

So I would certainly work with Vivid Racing again. While I did have some issues through AgencyPower.com, James really stepped in and did the best he could to fix it. He also told me he discussed it with the owners, and it doesn't sound like these types of issues are commonplace.

    Thank you James!

All companies make mistakes at times. Customer service is key. Yes, impressive response, head and shoulders above my customer service experience with their main competitor.
