Looking to replace the Lusso V12 Battery with AGM Braille 10049.

I can see that you need a new tender with the Lithium batteries, but can't see a post that indicates whether you also need a new one for the AGM. Any help from folks who have replaced is appreciated ?

Also, how do you send a PM to another member on Ferrarichat ?

    Welcome to the forum Shekhar.

I believe that the Lusso came with an AGM battery as standard.

And I believe that you need a few more posts under your belt before you can start messaging people.

That's excellent. I do have a 2020 so hopefully that's a better probability for having AGM as standard OEM build. My dealer says they typically only replace with AGM if the original was AGM.

Ferrari's have had AGM batteries from the factory for many years now. Thee electrical demands of modern cars are nuts, and V12 starters are a whole other ball game.

Do you have the Ferrari branded CTEK or the black chinesium box?

The black Ferrari branded charger you linked is subpar. It's a generic Chinese design manufactured for Fix-a-Flat with a Ferrari logo slapped on it. It’s not that the charger will let the battery die per say, but many owners have reported short battery replacement intervals (<4 yrs). The logical conclusion is that it's not maintaining the battery properly, and the techs I’ve talked to all agree that the pattern correlates directly to when Ferrari switched over from providing CTEK chargers. My recommendation would be to purchase either a CTEK MXS 5.0 or a Deltran Battery Tender Plus. You will need an adapter to use any of these chargers.

In the interest of full disclosure, I sell magnetic adapters for CTEK, SAE, and NOCO chargers. You can find the ad in the classifieds section.

Can this type of magnetic battery port be added to a vehicle, Ferrari or otherwise, to be able to use the convenience of the magnetic connector?

Yes it can. However, you would have to cut a significant hole wherever you choose to place it and run a positive lead to either the battery terminal itself or an always on circuit.

Happy to supply the parts and provide assistance if you chose to do so.
