Yeah, this has been discussed elsewhere. Big dollars to restore. It would be better off to purchase a mint one when it become available.

 

Looks like they got the proportions better than some kit cars...love the interior

 

Here is nice one for sale in 2005 at the Imola race track. Looks like it was offered for 7000 Euro at the time.

Very cool and built much better than 90% of the kit cars (and maybe even 10% of the real cars) out there.

 

The car is the easy part...Just try to to find a midget that looks like Valentino Balboni to drive it

 

I remember seeing the toy model first time at the FAO Schwarz store in their NY Manhattan store sometime around the mid eighties. Fast forward to September 2005, at the annual Imola parts and swap meet. Suddenly I see the black one, looking very nice and original, not sure if it was restored or just a very well kept specimen.

 

I'm pretty sure they showed a black one of these in the movie: BIG with Tom Hanks-inside the FAO toy store( if I remember correctly).

 

Saw one of these in Dubai (orange) - similiar state...
