    I believe that incident is the second or third landing on a freeway in several weeks! I'm not criticizing because I had the opportunity of almost doing the same thing when I had picked the space and had it settled until I made it to a strip. The engine died when I flared for landing. A stupid choice to stretch fuel.

    Glad that no one was injured in a vehicle or the airplane and sorry that the airplane was destroyed.

    News I saw down here in San Diego described it as a "vintage WWII German fighter"... I saw the radial engine and thought FW-190. Was it a tarted up AT-6 then? o_O
