i can do better than that.

the Dino is a 70's car and was not even a ferrari so that gets removed from the final list.

importance to ferrari 80's history according to the number i assigned to it.

    3. the bb series culminating with the 512bbi is the top of the heap prior 1984, using an F1 derived engine, and raced at le mans and daytona
    5. after that, the 308/328 is the same car, so count it as one, and it carried ferrari for a decade+ and it is iconic, so it stays.
    4. the Testarossa is THE iconic car from the 80's
    2. the 288gto is great only because it led to the...
    1. F40

sorry to all the owners of everything else on that list, but they are not iconic, not special, not great. just nice old cars.

    Not much of a list.
365GTC4 is from the 70's as is the Dino 308...although there were some around in the early 80's still unsold.

the best car has to be the f-40 and the one you really want is the 288GTO.... the sleeper is the 412... way better than it gets credit for... but the car for the 80's is either 308GTB or 328GTB... those were Ferrari during the 80's.

This, although 308 GTS and 328 GTS, along with the Testarossa, were the iconic Ferraris. 288 GTO and F40 were Ferrari's flagship/supercars, although I never saw either in period. 308 GTS QV was the car in the US in the '80s, along with the Countach and 930. And a 560 SL for your wife...

    412, 365 GTC/4, 308 GT4 were '70s leftovers.

You can tell by these last answers that you are from the usa. The bb was never officially imported to the usa so it does not appear in your memories as much as the 308/328 that basically carried ferrari in the usa for 10 years. Meanwhile in Europe the bb’s were THE car doing battle vs the Lambos and were on all the bedroom posters

OK, here is my personal retake narrowing down to top 10. What do you think? I'm going to make a YouTube for it.

    10 Ferrari Mondial T
    9 Ferrari 400i
    8 Ferrari 412i
    7 Ferrari 308
    6 Ferrari 328
    5 Ferrari 512 BBi
    4 Ferrari Testarossa
    3 Ferrari 288 GTO Evoluzione
    2 Ferrari 288 GTO
    1 Ferrari F40

We'll save GT4 for 70's although it had some 1980 models and 348 for 90's although it had some 1989 models.

Did Ferrari make more than ten kinds of cars in the '80s?

well there are 10 there, it is a stretch if you combine the 400/412, Mondial/Mondial T, and 308/328.

The range back then was quite simple. The 308/328 was the "afforable" car, the Mondial the "affordable" 2+2 (plus the only cabriolet), the 400/412 the grand tourer and the 512/Testarossa the flagship. The eighties also introduced the supercar (288/F40). That's it really.

I don´t think the Evo belongs in this list. It is a great model, but not one you could buy from the dealer. If we are going to include the Evo, then what about the BBLM? Or the turbo F1 cars?

Otherwise I agree with this list.
