I'd like to take my son for rides in my F355 but I'm afraid of what the airbag would do to him if someone hit me. Can the air bag be turned off or retrofitted with a diable switch while we go for a cruise

+1. That's the way to go.

...but, if he has to ride in the meantime, be sure to push the passenger seat to the extreme rearward position. Distance from the airbag is your friend, I'd think.

Find the thread of air bags self-deploying two weeks ago in LA!

The passenger from what I was told was pretty badly hurt!

Get rid of the air bags!

    Call Bob Today.

Not sure of the wiring in the Ferrari, but in many other cars you can unplug the airbag. There is usually an electrical plug on the back of the airbag that can be unplugged when the key is off. The plugs are usually brightly colerd (yellow or orange). The problem is that in many cars if you turn the key-on with the airbag unplugged a trouble code lite will be set-off that has to be reset at the dealer. It would be good to check this out before you unplug the airbag with the key-on.

    The light is is true.

Best to have Bob put in his switch. You can then decide if you want them on or off!
