I have not checked, but I'm almost certain that Dinoparts (Germany) and Superformance (UK) carry reproduction ones, for a price...

That's a very fair price--I'm surprised they are even available, much less that cheaply.

I see they make the filter canister, too, for a similar price

Yes, try the box of DinoParts but be careful, if these repro parts do look original.

I was interested to buy your car a couple of years ago, very rare original color. Send me a pm for more details.

    Sunit,

What is on your car now, if there is no airbox?

I would think it might be difficult to balance the carbs with that setup, as the middle one has only the short sides of the filter to suck air thru while the others have one long side in addition

    Greetings all

you have more on my car than I have....

I have removed the weber aftermarket filters and the engine is being worked on, I wish to return the engine compartment to the way it looked.

Many thanks for all your help.

    Best wishes

    Hi Pietro and all others

Thanks for the info on the cannister. I have this, it seems that the original airbox was removed to install the filters you see in the picture. I just want to return to factory specs. The colour seems correct but repainted at some stage.

I am carefully refurbishing the car not interested in a nut and bolt. I have had enough cars to see that the "soul" dissapears once you dismantle completely. I am in no hurry, the car is paid for.

If anyone has more info on my car I would gladly take it to my heart. Good or bad.

Now I will drink more coffee and get rid of this headache from yesterday.

    Cheers
    Sunit

Your car was delivered in Giallo Dino, a very rare color.

Original parts in good condition will always cost more than repros.

You'll have to decide if it's worth it to you. Outside of concours judges you won't find many people who will be able to tell (or care about) the difference.

I think the main box is the same as mine but the lid is different for sure. There is a correct lid listed for about $200

Correct. The lid is the difference. The lid on ebay is for very early cars 1969/70.
From 71 to 74 the lid was the same as for your car.
