    I need to change my Throttle Body/Airbox seals, because once the car gets hot, it causes some nasty little problems, and I can even hear the air leaking on occasion.

    Is it hard to get them out, or do they just pop off?

    If its on a 355, around each throttle body tube there is a kind of jubilee clip, 8 of them. All these clips have to be loosened for you to simply pull the air box upwards.
    Be cautious however because inside each clip there are two half moon metal collets which surrounds the rubber tube seals that you want to replace. Some of the metal half moons can and will drop into the valley of the engine, so have a magnet at hand.
    Don't forget to pull of the various air box hoses before you take of the airboxs.

    As another tip, when working in that area, I place a rag(s) on the top of the engine valley so that if I do drop something, the rags will catch the parts from falling into the abyss :D

    Hey Dennis,

    No, it's not removed - just the mounting bolts are removed and it's proped up.

    Dennis, to be clear, I did not have my air boxes off in that photo. Only trying to show the rag to prevent parts from falling into the valley.

    Dave, Dino, Mike Bruce;

    I know...this gets said a lot around here, but I guess I'll just say "my own version":

    In the time it would have taken to have explained this over the phone to a service advisor and make an appointment...oh, wait a minute, it's Sunday...I got expert advice (with firsthand photos), a parts source, and an agreed-upon price for parts that likely will ship Tuesday and be here before the weekend.

    That's FChat, and that's The Brotherhood.

    Please plan on enjoying the first few rounds on me should I have the pleasure to meet you in person!
