20 amp fuse #22 only powers radio & compressor clutch compressor clutch failed or clutch wire shorted to ground blower on different fuse disconnect wire on compressor and see if fuse still blows punctuation helps sometimes you're welcome ;)

    Steve,

I've had this issue on my 1999 550. It turned out to be the AC compressor leaking oil onto it's electromagnetic clutch's winding. As a result the winding's isolation dissolves and you have a short circuit. The compressor's front seal is the culprit and it can be replaced, but I chose to get a new compressor.
The oil also drips on the alternator, and you should see a few drops directly under it on the belly pan. This could eventually damage the alternator.
