Air ducts on Dino 246

Hello, I am wondering if the holes through the fibreglass for the two air ducts from the vents to the radiators are originally that large and if there shouldn't be a grommet?
Any information / photos appresiated

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, my Dino has been in ignorant hands before I acquired it. It's not the first time that I find stupid modifications. So I will try to reduce the size of the holes and find a suitable rubber surround.
