    Gentlemen,
    Feast your eyes on genuine, OEM installed, 400i air filters with 28 years and about 50,000 miles on them. The paper is so dry it is brittle. This has to be a record for bone headed deferred maintenance.
    The engine runs much better with the new filters installed.

    The car is new to Missouri having spent most of its life in Los Angeles and Phoenix.
    They might not be the dirtiest air filters ever but they are the worst iI've ever seen.
