    In fact CFD software (computer fluid dynamics) has been in use for at least 30 years ;). It has incredibly evolved since then but your link shows nothing new.

    First time I've seen this on Linkedin, wasn't sure how new or old it (liked by a Ferrari employee) was but I thought folks here might like to see it.

    Yep, Albert-->Sauber

    I've got a youtube link dealing with CFD(2017 I believe), it's a seminar. Long vid. It goes into the history of CFD then into the "meat" of the 2017 cars then the software (boring part) of how to use it.

    I could post it if you like?? If so, give me about 2 hours at time of this post....I'm at a dental appt.

    Could be interesting, but I don't think I'll have time for it for the next few weeks. I've got to view another webinar and that will take a good 2 hours.

    Computational Fluid Dynamics not computer fluid dynamics.

    The technology is not new... the team I worked with was using it 25 years ago to model rocket engine burns and gas turbine flow. What has changed is the price of the computer power needed to solve the complex models. Back then we needed hugely expensive crays, transputer arrays and a ton of workstations just to do now what any smartphone can do.

    I was only complaining about the name of the body of scientific study.
