One of my air horns is not working. Are the horns serviceable? I see new ones are cheap, but they look like plastic ( v. metal)?

The new ones are cheap but they are plastic as you say. Not sure if the original is serviceable or not. I kept a set of metal ones just in case for this reason.

The air horn can be removed on the old version from the end that produces the sound. So perhaps you can buy the new ones and swapped over the horns.

The horn is probably just a vibrating reed in a tube. Did you try flushing it out? Did you check the air line was not blocked?

Yes, inside is a thin brass vibrating reed. Nothing blocked, nothing dirty, and no damage to the reed...???
I opened it up, inspected and put it back together and it works perfectly....go figure. I wish I had taken
    some photos......

Only issue, was that I could not get it to snap back together so I used JB Weld plastic bonder and all good.

Ah, the classic air horn conundrum! Been there, done that myself. It's a real downer when one of those bad boys decides to go on the fritz.

Now, when it comes to serviceability, it really depends on the horn. Some are built to last and can be tinkered with to get 'em back in working order. But others, especially those cheaper plastic ones, tend to be more disposable.
If you're leaning towards a replacement, I recently stumbled upon https://bosshorn.com. They've got a bunch of horn options, from classic to custom, so you might just find the perfect fit for your ride.
