Okay, so I did a stupid thing. I stucked out some of the fluid out of my f1 gearbox....to replace it with new fluid. I went too far and sucked some out of the lines.... I put the new fluid in. Anyways I went to put it into Neutral (I left my car in first gear) the F1 light came on, a siren came on, and my N sign just flashes at me (so it's not going into Neutral properly). Needless to say it doesn't start. And every time I open my driver door, my pump trys to go, no matter how quickly I open and close it. So I'm guessing I have air in my lines. Any suggestions....besides having it towed to a shop? Cause I can't tow it because it's stuck in gear. Thanks
You can try this. My techs figured out how to do it without an SD2/3 and so did Juri. Usually not cost efficient for a pro to do it this way, but if you have to... Taz Terry Phillips http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140290321&postcount=19
Taz and Fengpi, Just to reassure, I have performed this purging procedure again on anoter 360F1 earlier this week and it worked well!
Try to change gears back and forth from 1st to Neutral, after some attempts the gear indicator stops blinking, put it in N and turn of the ignition, now you can try to start the car again... (happened to me once). Try it.
What I did guys is I reset the ECU, then I put it in first gear, held it till it went into neutral. And it started like a dream. Thx guys
