My 91 TR has been sitting for 16 months while much work was done. The fuel injection plumbing was removed when the engine was cleaned and resealed. The injectors were cleaned and new injector o rings were put in place. New fuel filters were installed, the tanks drained, cleaned along with the screens in the tanks.

Now all is together again, it will not start and I do not smell fuel. While I am aware that it could be a number of electrical issues which result in no spark (and I am ticking them off the list one by one) I am not certain if the KE jet system bleeds itself when it is dry, or if it needs to have any air in the system released. As the top chambers have banjo bolts which lead to each injector I thought that any air in the system would be displaced by fuel after a few longer cranks.

Do I need to bleed the fuel system?

There should not be any problems with air in the system, it will bleed out very quickly. So it's back to the basics, air, fuel, and spark.

When I cleaned my injectors several years ago there was alot of cranking to get it started. As I recall I cranked for a bit and then went in and had a beer to contemplate why it wouldnt start. I think I repeated this several times, but eventually it did start.

Good advice. I will go get a beer. Was your car a 6, 8 or 12? With a flat 12 should I have 2 beers?
