Anybody know of a good supplier for air jacks?
AP makes some. http://www.apracing.com/car/airjacks/index.htm Genesis makes some http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?form_prod_id=15,10,363_242&action=product CupCarSolutions http://www.cupcarsolutions.com/jacks.htm Goodridge: http://www.goodridge.net/usa/ms_newproducts1.htm There's another manufacturer, but I can't find the website link, trying to find it now.
If you ever get a hold of goodrigde let me know. They are used to selling hoses and the distributors for them suck. I have contacted westcoast main and they refer me to inept people like mesa hose. They make a good supposedly cheap airjack which is very light too. They are on my list of things to buy but I actually gave up trying to buy them.
My race team had a batch made locally for all our 360 Challenge cars. It costs $120/pc. Over 2 race seasons on 4 cars only one developed a leak and had to be repaired. I think AP, Krontec, or Genesis air jacks costs substantially more.
I never weighed them so I don't know the exact weight. I'd assume around 3kg as they are made of aluminum. I have 4 spares, but I need them in case of crash damage during race season. If you are serious about getting them, then PM me. I'll check for you if my local machine shop is willing to make just 3 and if price has gone up since 2 years ago. BTW, if you run 20 Bar pressure you will need 4.
