I'm alittle confused by the 308GT4 owners manual regarding what each postion is on the two air vents. The middle one is the temp control, blue for heat off.

it's the outer two that I'm confused about:

the book says middle position is air blowing through the "outlets" which are the two top vents where the a/c comes in

then it says moving them to the lowermost position "all the air is sent to the windscreen." (pg 47 winter heating)

is that fresh air? or does it go to someplace other than the outlets? what takes it to the windscreen if not the outlets.

so what is the top position; ie vent knobs full up?

does that close the vents completely?

and if so I guess that is the position I need it to be in for the a/c to work properly (theoretically)
p 50 says to have the system working correctly the levers have to be shut (20 and 22, which are the two outer levers).
That would be in the full up position?

also just to confirm; the book says to move the hot water valve all the way "down to the blue spot" for summer ventillation. my blue spot is at the top.

interesting; there doesn't seem to me to be too much of a difference in different positions.
