Many Ferraris I've owned had their own unique problems. Example, Mondial T/348 after awhile would not start after a hot run if starting solenoid was overheated as I recall. Ferrari's solution was an $80 battery type booster for startup.

Can a Ferrari be started with a deployed airbag that isn't repaired or working?

Some manufacturers prevent driveability after a deploy & not having fixed: Suspect a nanny lawyer issue to prevent the lame from suing.

I've read my 599 manual & nowhere states i cannot start or drive.. However, do not have the gas cap fastened correctly and problems, go figure.

Startup check reads airbag ECU & reports. Since I have no ECU issues I cannot determine if airbag issues are a driveabilityproblem. My deduction is no problem starting or driving. The manual only says get it resolved.

I've searched & read in some threads, where accidental side deploys happened, that driveability (minus the bothersome bag material) never was an issue.

QUESTION: Has any Ferrari ever been unable to start/drive on an unfixed deploy?
