Did all F355's originally come with an airbag warning sticker affixed to the dash just below the center vents? Just curious. Does anybody still have this sticker affixed to their dash? Does anybody care or think it would be a cool/significant detail? All input welcome. Thanks to all! Wolf
Here it is. I am in the midst of recovering my airbag, hence the unsightly hole in my dash!!!! Anyone else have this sticker on their dash??? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Almost certain this isn't a factory fitted item. From my experience the factory fitted warnings were much smaller and fitted either to the sun visor or inside the door jam/side of dashboard on passenger side. The Ferrari factory airbag warning stickers look nothing like this sticker.......
Rob, as we discussed - I've seen it before, it is a factory or FNA sticker. Might have only been on late model cars like yours. You know my thoughts
I seem to recall that at that time those stickers came with the car but were not applied. It was the owner's responsibility to place them as directed. A few years later manufactures started including the ability to turn off the passenger's side air bag and today it is controlled automatically by sensing weight in the passenger's seat in most cars that I am aware of.
The user's manual specifies stickers in three places for my '95. A. Engine lid. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
C. Under visor. I'll check again to see if mine has them but I don't remember seeing them. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
get some goo gone and rip that ugly **** off your dash/ My god who did that?? My car has warnings on the sun visors and the sticker on the rear bonnet and I wish I could remove them.
I must confess that I was secretly hoping that at least somebody would say "OMG, so cool that your car still has the original sticker in the original spot on dash. You almost never see that!" Instead the consensus reaction has been "you f***ing moron!!! Get that hideous thing off of your dash NOW!!" All good and glad I asked! Guess I will be gently removing it the next time I drop my car off the lift. Thanks to all for your replies and unvarnished opinions!!
Thats horrible. I dont think thise were around in 99 or earlier. Probaly took it out of an Escalade and stuck it on there.
I checked my car and there are no stickers on my visor on either side. There is a totally worn sticker on the engine lid. Anyone seen where we can buy the 3 replacement stickers. I probably won't add them to the visor but would like to have them with the car. I can not find them at superperformance.co.uk or italiancarparts.com Robb
It's in my owners manual (MY US Spec '98 Spider), and noted as "removable". There are also labels on the driver's sun visor, and 2 labels (one on either side) on the passenger visor, and one more in the engine compartment. The labels on each sun visor, engine compartment and this bigger one under the grill are noted as "Notices", where as the one shown on the back of the passenger visor is noted as "Notice of Air Bag Maintenance".
Here is the remnants of my airbag sticker on my engine lid. The heat is simply too much for mine... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
So I removed the sticker with some acetone. Will get new ones from Classic Coach. Thanks Barry for that recommendation. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're welcome, Robb. They get them from FNA. They have to replace the stickers whenever they replace panels that have them. My car still has the sticker on the deck lid. The sunvisors were removed when the rollcage was installed. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
