Had a check 1 -4 light come on, noticed the left airbox had ripped from it's bushings so it was floating over the heat shield.

Anyone had this happen? Are there aftermarket bushings out there that are better.

    Car is a 95 Spyder.

    Thanks

    Rorie

So ones only allowed to mention forum sponsors?? The guy asked for options, and i gave him an alternative. I personally really dont care were i buy my parts from. I buy from who ever has the best deal at the time of looking.
In this case if i was looking for the bobbins, £4-5 for four bobbins, sounds far better that £64 for four.
Another example of shopping around. Last week i was looking for an alternative to buying a pair of expensive 355 crank sensors. I did not want to pay £500+ for a pair from Ferrari without a fight;). So i sourced the exact same bosh part from another make of car that cost me £60, with the exact same part number stamped on them.

I was only kidding with you, I always first check on eBay before I buy anywhere else.

You mind sharing the bosch crank sensor part # and what car it's from? 500 pounds is stupid.

If you use aftermarket ones, see if you can remove the metal end caps off the old ones, otherwise the exhaust heat is going to cook the new set pronto. The oem ones (which is what I use) come with metal end caps to protect the rubber from heat damage. Obviously it does not make them last forever, but does help.
