Airbox Stencil

Nicely done, looks just like original.

First time attempt with an inexpensive (relatively speaking) stencil off e bay....
There are imperfections, but I'll probably make it look worse if I try to touch it up.

Nice work! Is it possible to clear coat over the water-based ink to give it more durability?

 

I used acrylic paint for the logo

 

I hope that the durability will be good after drying. If this ink used on T-shirts can take many washing cycles, it might be just fine. I am unsure what clear coat to consider that would not change the sheen on the powder-coated airbox!

Yes. They changed around March 88 at VIN 766XX

 

My 1988 Mondial 3.2 cabriolet only has the Ferrari script on top of the air box which I restored with a stencil, wonder where the "UFI" is? I noticed today that it's on the rear side of the bottom of the air box, not visible from the top, but it's there!
