Proof that an ATR, Bombardier or Embraer regional turbo prop can perform a Barrel Roll. Never seen that before!
Pilot speaking to Co-Pilot "I told you pulling back on that thing would make you puke." Nice photos and that might be the equivalent of an orca doing a double reverse 1/2 twist.
The pilot is the CEO of DK company Cimber Air. Needless to say the authorities are NOT pleased AT ALL! He did this simply for the fun of it. And he is known for being a bit of a daredevil. Plane was of course flying empty, so no passengers aboard I must admit I LOVE it
Mr Cosmic The photographs you have shown of the ATR 42 rolling at EKSB, Sønderborg, are taken by me. I DO HAVE THE COPYRIGHTS. As YOU have not asked for permission to publish these photos you are violating the danish "presslaw", so please immidiately remove ALL the photos or any links to the photo's. A invoice is sent to you for publishing the photos, please pay at once. All the best Mr Lear 45
Danish press law isn't applicable in the U.S. much in the same way U.S. law isn't applicable in Denmark. To the original poster, give the proper photo credits as required, leave it at that. Fair use.
As long as the plane is 'seeing' 1 G at flying speed it doesn't really care what attitude it is in. Very reminiscent of the famous roll of the 707 prototype in front of a crowd in Seattle. Very cool.
i wonder if a 23 year old kid in a b-25 could have done that ..say with no bombs aboard and somebody shooting at him.....
Isn't the term "Lear 45" a trademarked name owned by Bombardier Aerospace? (they bought Learjet Corp. in 1990). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learjet_45 So, calling yourself "Mr Lear 45" is probably a violation of their trademark. Maybe you could send the money you get for the unauthorized usage of the copyrighted ATR 42 pics on to them?

Anyone download the pics... might be fun to just torment Mr. Lear at 45 y/o Panties. Lots of chat sites to post on...
Interesting photos but no commercial value whatsoever. Only a self-absorbed whiner would make an issue of their display here. The photos are "in the wind".
I was going to dl them but didn't bother because I did'nt think they would be removed. They were pretty awesome pics to see
Here is a link to both the photos and background story from FlightGlobal Click Here. Incidentally, here is the video of Tex Johnston of Boeing doing a barrel roll in a Boeing 707 Click Here.
I got a PM today about this. I had forgotten all about this thread after I replied the second time. So I was quite confused as to what the guy in the PM was talking about. Anyway, I never heard from the guy, and he IS the photographer. I took them from a forum called Spotters.dk. Thread HERE No pics anymore. He say in the thread he never thought the pics would go around the net when he uploaded them to the Spotters site. Someone then mentioned to him he could cash in on them, and that's what he apparently, and rightfully have tried to do. But I haven't heard from him. I would also add I would be disappointed in him IF he come forth with a lawsuit as my intention, as opposed to the papers that published them, never were to make money on them. And I didn't take credit for them. And if he sue me I m afraid I can't pay Thanks for removing the pics though
