    My brother and I are going to fly my Cessna 172 from Anderson, SC to Illinois to attend my sister's wedding this coming weekend. My Mother lives in Washington, IL and I want to fly to the nearest airport. I have considered KBMI and 3MY Mount Hawley Auxillary. Has anyone flown into 3MY, and if so, can you recommend it?

    Also, the next day I will be flying into Madison, WI. I have chosen C29 Middleton-Morey.

    Experience, advice, and any tips would be helpful. I don't have objections to flying into Class Charlie or Delta, but think a smaller airport might be more convenient. I plan to have flight following along the way. Thanks!

    Having lived in Washington The airport that is the least difficult to get to would be KPIA. The aux airport is quite out of the way and lots of traffic to deal with.
