We are flying into the main airport on Maui next week and staying at the Four Seasons. Do y'all have any recommendations for Airport to Hotel transportation? It looks like the shuttle is somewhat unreliable, and ratings for taxi services are not very high. Any local recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A rental car is needed on Maui if you want to: 1) Road to Hana 2) Haleakala sunrise 3) Lahaina 4) Mama's Fish House/Ho'okipa windsurfing & "Jaws/Peahi " off shore massive surfing waves 5) Kapalua 6) Wailea 7) great golf courses.

#1 stay at the Andaz over the 4 seasons (cheaper, nicer, newer).
#2 Picking up the rental car is awful as there is 1 office at the airport- so this might be a hour. Just fyi

Generally there are taxis at the airport and they will all know the way to the Four Seasons. Reliability is a concern when you are going back to the airport! But you will be at the Four Seasons and you can ask them to take care of that; they will make sure you get to the airport on time.

I would also suggest that you just call the Four Seasons and ask them how they would recommend getting to the hotel from the airport. I think they will take good care of you.

We always rent a car when we are in Maui, and I think the suggestion that you may want to consider that is a good one. But if you just want to chill the whole time at the Four Seasons, that is fine way to spend a great vacation. If that is your goal, just give them a call and let them take care of you.

Have a great time in Maui!

We’re here now for this week. Uber is available but I rented a Mercedes for only a couple hundred bucks for the week. It’s cheap, this time of year at least.
