Now that would be interesting! And it would probably fit just fine having already given up your left and right one for the opportunity to drive them.

Somehow, I don't think it would air on the Speed channel. ;>))

Really? I've never heard the accent on the second syllable before. I do like the way Brits pronounce aluminum as "al-you-minny-um"

What's that old saying about two great countries separated by a common language?

I met Alan a couple of years ago while bird hunting in Scotland... he is a nice guy, but a bit crusty... very superior.... after about 30 min of talking racing, he finally started to open up, but on the surface he was a bit cold.

The guy who owns the estate that we go hunting on said that Alan is a bit stuffy, and kept calling him "m lord"... which was annoying De Cadenet big time.

He is a great shot! and was using a matched pair of Holland and Holland 12 gauge shot guns..... Very nice!

Regarding Alan's clothing ... have a look at what the drivers in the 50's/60's and earlier actually wore ... no overalls. Gonzales used to race in a T-shirt, etc. Nuvolari in a yellow t-shirt and brown pants, and I bet he pulled his socks up over the cuffs so nothing would catch on them during a race. If he is wearing goggles and no helmet then he is in this period.

Like a lot of enthusiasts I suspect that Alan is taking authentic attire to the nth degree :) ... good on him!

I can't imagine anyone doing a better job given the number of cars he covers in the alloted amount of time. He makes each one sound interesting and for
fans or owners of a particular model I think he makes "their" car seem wonderful no matter what the truth is.
That tid bit about owners not letting him wear a helmet is wonderful and probably very wise.

    Keep up the great work!

Remember we invented the language, you just messed it up, threw out bits that didn't make sense.....

I met AdC back when he contested LeMans in his own car, intense and very knowledgable, definitely "eton/harrow crowd".

You haven't seen anything yet! As slacker-nation continues to strengthen its grip on our "culture", those useless bits will begin to include most vowels.

Think how short books will be then! Oh, that's right, the idiotnet will obsolete the print industry.
