    very odd its never done this before.... when i arm the alarm system, it goes off with an loud high pitch beep.... when i disarm it all is good.

    all the doors are closed and so is the trunk and hood... any ideas why the heck it wont stay armed???

    It's supposed to beep. IS that what we're talking about here?

    Single beep for lock, two for unlock, and it is high pitched.

    battery failing?

    Pretty common issue.

    I'm guessing, but should be relatively easy to find out. Plenty of threads here about that issue.

    I believe he is refering to the battery located within the siren housing.

    Had the same thing happen to mine. The battery in the siren housing is failing. To replace the battery I got a quote of $400. What I did was wait for the battery to completely drain, now it doesn't go off, but the alarm still arms and imobilizes the car.
