I've look on the site for this problem.
Red light is blinking. Car starts fine. Now no red light. Full battery.
Shut off and around 4 minutes later the red lights blinks.
I have a new alarm siren. Before I change, I'm curious if anything else could be the problem.
    Thanks

Red light not blinking= Immobiliser deactivated

    See you in Sebring!!

So, I guess in 3 years I never noticed. If parked, I should notice the blink. Even with the blinking and the clock, the main battery will be dead over time. If you switch off the main battery, at some point the alarm battery will also die.
BTW, who is this. JL ?
    Thanks

John- That flashing LED draws almost no current. Think about how efficient LED bulbs are in your house. Mine has not had a maintainer on her for five years and the battery is fine after 2 weeks or more.

The same at my 550. Sometimes it blinks, sometimes it's on and sometimes it's off.

It has no effect on the car, so I just laugh about it and keep on driving.

Keep your eye on the road. Don't watch the blinks.
    Thanks

No blinks on the road. LED is off once started.
