Not easy and probably not economically possible given the way it's hooked in and out of the management ECU.

What issues are you having? Most can be resolved and once sorted the system becomes reliable again.

    hi,

    thanks for the response.

i do not have a problem, but i hate the fact that the car automatically goes into the alarm mode when the doors are open, then you have to lock and unlock the doors to start the car.
is there a way to disconect the auto alarm/lock

    thanks,
    mario

    Hi Mario,

I'm sure it's possible to change the way the alarm operates but whether or not it's economically viable is an entirely different story.

There are a few slightly annoying features of the system but in overall terms they are generally quite good security features. e.g.

If you unlock the car but don't open a door the car will automatically lock again after maybe two minutes. (It doesn't happen once a door is actually opened). That's a pretty useful feature as it prevents you from leaving the doors unlocked accidentally.

The immobiliser part of the system arms itself after a couple of minutes from the time the key is removed from the ignition. While it can be mildly annoying it's also a good security feature as it prevents vehicle theft by someone forcing the locks if you forget to arm the system.

Personally I think you'll be better off familiarising yourself with the quirks and learning to live with them or work around them.

Attached an alarm manual in case you don't have one. If you do manage to edit the software do please post details here as I'm sure there are others who would like to do likewise.

    Cheers.
