Hello All just checking in my car for info. I have a 400GT (manual gearbox, carbuerettor, right hand drive) 1977 see attached pics and production figures from maranello. Cant be very many of these left at all as only 21 built! would be interested to hear from any other owners of this model. very nice car...and it would certainly get my vote as the ideal GT 2+2... bar none... period. as much as i love my 400a, i still want a 400GT badly...and none of my 5-speed V-8 Ferrari's seem to change that.
+1! Dave's database shows #19353 to be the first 400 produced as a Dark Red/Red auto. trans. in 1977, #20789 Silver/Cream 5-sp. last known home of Dallas, Tx., & #21569 Red/Black 5-sp. that was parted out approx. 2004,........& that is it (meaning that is all his database shows), certainly there are probably others out there which is why........any details of yours would be helpful for the database.
Thanks for the feedback gents Better than my sisters opinion which was that it looked like a 70s ford granada! How could she! The more I drive this car (which is all the time) the more i would agree it is the perfect gt.This car sounds magnificent even at the traffic lights. I have had the car a couple of years now and have driven it down to South france from Scotland via Italian alps etc I bought with 54000miles with relatively recent engine rebuild and now has 70000 odd and goes better and better. I am not an expert but have been told that it is good for the car to just use it. I am currently in Dubai so when i get home (scotland) i will get the chassis no etc. I spent years trying to find the perfect car (gt manual carbueretted) I have only ever come across a couple of others which were for sale in europe, a good site is classicdriver.com they usually have a few 400s i have a few other websites in europe that i check ocassionaly if your interested I will pass them on.
Brett, I have to call BS on that . You keep getting them and selling them off before you even drive them... Regards, Art S.
well, yes, kind of...but a 400i and a 365 GT4 2+2...not a 400GT, which, once i find, will definitely not leave the stable. as much as i love the others, the 400 is the one for me.
The car was actually built in June of 1976. The second 400 was #19903, built in Nov.1976. #19353 was originally silver as seen in the factory ad, but is currently House of Colors BrandyWine. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
