Of course, those were Bertone designs. Yeah, talk about a wedge! Fioravati's designs are more Coke bottle than cheese wedge. He is my favorite car designer of all time. OK, I need to get that Octane magazine. Oh, and what is the title of Matthias' book? -F
OK, I read the Octane article and I am even more convinced the Dino 206 has more of Brovarone's hand, much more than Fioravanti. I believe the "wedge" reference has more to do with changing the nose of the car from the pointy nose like on Dino Special to the more flat nose with a mouth that is seen on the production Dino. There were no "wedges" as we know them coming out of PF at that time. I think the first may be the P6 Prototype shown in 1968, designed by Fioravanti. I am sure Fioravanti helped shepherd the project through Pininfarina. But actually contributed more to the design than Brovarone? I still am not convinced. Oh, did I mention, Fioravanti is my favorite designer? -F
