I wish they'd show more of the Paralympics on the tube TBH - Some truly amazing/inspiring stuff. I'll have to search out some video of him - The (for them) drop from Druids and then back up to Paddock is *steep* - It's a good climb walking, let alone pedalling thru twice!

One of my heroes.

 

Black and white blood in this one, no question he was born to race. Quite the movie script awaiting.

I'm sure he'll receive a congratulatory note or two from friends in the racing world, hope he has a spare room...

He truly has the heart of a champion; most people would have said "why me" but Al just puts his head down and gets on with it. A lesson for all of us.

 

Rumor is that a return to Indy is being considered.
