What do you guys know about these cars? I have never sat in or driven one, but I pass two parked nearby every day, and I have become smitten with their look. What is the deal? Would parts be easy to find? What do they run value wise today? They look like a fun car just to tool around in.

As a long term owner I can highly recommend them.

Parts are plentiful through Alfaholics, EB Spares and many others and the situation is better now than 10years ago.

Seriously, I've had 4 2 liters, three 1600s and one 1750 GTV, and the '69 1750 is the best by a wide margin. The 2 liter would be my last choice, lots of plastic and an engine built for torque, not revs- very unAlfa-like. The only way to even make a 2-liter worth driving is to redo the motor so it can actually rev. I've had my '69 1750 for almost 30 years, and it is a keeper. Buy a 1750.

Thanks all for the input. It looks like I have a new hunt in my future. The game of finding the right car is almost as much fun as owning it.

Like a Ferrari get the best one you can. I have had 14 of these cars over the years and they are great to drive even in todays traffic. They rust like crazy so spend the money and get one that some guy has dumped a bunch of money into to fix the rust ect. They should hold their value even in this economy because they didn't get that expensive. Show car $20,000-$29,000 drivers $9,000-$18,000 projects $1,200 -$7,000.

Fantasy Junction has a nice silver show car available that has won a number of awards give them a call.

I think the best looking are the 1968-1969 1750 GTV's. They have the
special early 1750 seats and small GTA style tail lights. The mid 1970 and
1971 1750's have cleaner looking bumpers and larger tail lights like the 2000's.
