We have seen variouse especially older Ferraris with chevy engines, but I haven't seen a other brand car with a ferrari engine, well not atlast till a while ago.

Went to pick up the companys 360 from service, this time the car was service at a raceteam. Strolling around my eyes got a glimpse of a Alfa 147 with the front completely dismanteled and an oddly big enigne in it. I din't have my camera with me that time, but i found some pictures from their net site www.teamf40.fi

They have a project with putting a Ferrari 355 engine in a Alfa 147, Impossible ? I would think so but apparently not, but it's not ready yet so well have to wait and see.

Have there been made any other alike projects earlier and what has the succes been ?

Well...if they make it RWD , it would be hot . But 410 hp on a Alfa front drive train ?

Agreed, the GTA is already a handfull, and thats only 250PS.

BTW the following all had Ferrari engines
    FIAT Dino 2400
    FIAT Dino Spider
    Lancia Thema 3.2
    Lancia Stratos

I think it's gonna be a RWD vehicle ( modified ) due to the engine's longitudinal layout. If it's FWD, where in the world are they gonna put the gearbox ?
When I was studying in the UK back in the eighties, the rage was making the Escort (FWD ) into a RWD with a Cossie engine, so I guess a 147 can be modified as such. Maybe.

Kind of a cool project, especially since that was probably a 1.6 or 2.0 so it would be a real sleeper. Anyway the first Scuderia Ferraris had Alfa engines...

But I'm amazed it fits. Even the GTA engine which is only a V6 BARELY fits.

I'll have to check with them if they plan to make it RWD or what, propably so. I´ll keep you dated, but the car was kind of dusty so I'm thinking they don't have a real hurry with the project.

The more I think about the more fun it sounds, imagine the 355 magical sound coming out of a Alfa.
